Who can give blood?
These are the conditions published in the press. The Agency has not published an official list, and a doctor examines every donor before they give.
How old do I need to be?
Between 18 and 60, according to the press.
What is the minimum weight?
50 kg or more, according to the same sources.
Who decides whether I can give?
The doctor at the centre. The law requires a medical check before every donation (decree 2-94-20, article 2). No app, Faraj included, decides instead.
Do I need to feel well on the day?
Yes. If you are ill or unsure, call the centre and let the doctor decide.
Am I paid, or do I have to pay?
No. Giving is voluntary and free, and can bring the donor "no remuneration of any kind" (law 03-94).
The doctor at the centre decides whether you can give. This page sums up the press and the law; it is not medical advice.
